In 1950 Charles M. Schulz created Snoopy, one of the most popular beagles in comics (even though he has denied being one). Along with his iconic red dog house he became popular over the year. Although he wasn’t intended to be, Snoopy became a sidekick to Peanuts main character, Charlie Brown. The first time Snoopy ever “spoke” was in 1952 in the form of a thought bubble.
